Celebrity Stars Flock To 883 Police Launch Event - Feautred In Thesun.co.uk
At 883 Police, we love a good excuse for a celebration. So when we realised that the launch of our new website, the big reveal of our latest collection and our 20th birthday were all going to occur around the same time, we knew we had to celebrate in style.
So we located a killer venue, built up a great guest list and ordered in some stellar live musical entertainment to make sure our hat trick of new achievements got the celebration it deserved.
Building the brand
Having been dreamt up in Italy way back in the mid-nineties, the team could only imagine the kind of steady growth and dedicated fan base that 883 Police would come to enjoy in the coming decades. Weaving traditional denim expertise with fresh fabric innovations, treatments and washes, the brand built its reputation around a solid offering of jeans for the modern fashion fan. Quickly sensing the positive response and eagerness for new pieces, 883 Police further rewarded their following by adding wide-reaching apparel options from T-shirts to leather bombers, belts to bags and knitwear to chinos.
And now? The fresh 883 Police team are always working to ensure the modern guy can visit our website and be faced with everything he needs to reinvent his wardrobe for the coming season or just to refresh his existing capsule with a new pair of jeans or a modern layering option. Priding itself on delivering a rocked up version of free-spirited Americana and urban street style, 883 Police’s offering shows great promise for continued expansion in the coming years.
Hitting the Smokehouse
A new site, a new collection and a big birthday. So, where best to celebrate these three significant milestones in style? We searched the metropolis of Manchester and landed on its popular Smokehouse & Cellar, which won the coveted Diners’ Choice Award in 2017. We immediately loved their rustic wood farmhouse decor spliced with gleaming copper beer barrels, and knew it’d make a superb backdrop for a night of food, drinks and unbeatable live music.
Located on Lloyd Street in the fashionable Spinningfields district of Manchester, the Smokehouse & Cellar serves up slow-cooked meat dishes and award-winning craft ales, rounded off with a touch of live music played into the early hours for those who want to dance off their indulgences.
A star-studded evening
As well as welcoming everyone’s favourite TV personality and loose women Katie Price to our event, we were graced with the presence of some of the finest stars from primetime soap operas. Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas and Danny Miller turned up in their favourite 883 Police pieces, and Coronation Street’s Katie McGlynn also put in a very stylish appearance. Looking slightly more glam than her on-screen persona, Katie showed off her recent impressive weight loss in an all-black, lace-detailed ensemble and was joined by her Corrie costars, Sair Khan, Brooke Vincent and Tisha Merry, all looking equally glam. Possessing well over 1,000,000 social media followers between them, these girls know how to make a stylish splash at the right events. The soap queens partied the night away while enjoying a live vocal performance from Jake Quickenden, one of our leading models and brand ambassadors. The much-loved X Factor and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here favourite arrived sporting 883 Police’s Jace black leather jacket, and belted out a string of numbers.
Joining these young stars of our soap and reality TV screens was Cristian MJC, an up-and-coming musician who found his early fame on Big Brother back in 2015, this Manchester-born rapper’s star is well and truly on the rise with his debut single, True Colours, having attracted a lot of positive feedback in 2016. Adding extra bad-boy flavour to the guest lineup was Ex on the Beach and Love Island star, Joshua Ritchie, joined by his EOTB castmate, Ross Worswick.
Out of this world
The whole night came off without a hitch, and the feedback was better than we could’ve hoped for. Adding even more influential names to our list of celebrity fans (which already includes award-winning actor Michael Fassbender, the Vampire Diaries’ Michael Malarkey and a tribe of enterprising urban music artists), the batch of fun-loving celebrities helped to make the evening go with a swing. So we’d like to send them a huge 883 Police-style ‘thank you!’ for their company.
We were pleased to note that The Daily Mail sent along one of their showbiz reporters to cover the events of the evening. To check out what they had to say, click Dailymail.co.uk.
